| Project overview | Global Exchange seeks funding for Jumpstart Ford, a joint campaign of Global Exchange and Rainforest Action Network. The campaign educates the public about the dangers of America’s oil addiction by explaining how oil dependence is a root cause of war and climate change. Our primary objective is to persuade the Ford Motor Company to increase its cars’ fuel efficiency average to 50 m.p.g. by 2010, and to produce a zero-emissions fleet by 2020. By taking the “No Blood for Oil” demand to Ford, we can reduce the incentives for war and address one of the major causes of climate change. |
