| Description | The Watershed Organisation Trust (WOTR) is an NGO established in 1993 to undertake developmental activities in resource-fragile rainfed areas. The main focus areas of WOTR are Capacity Building of village groups and NGOs for participatory watershed development, self-help promotion, direct implementation of watershed projects, micro-finance, health activities, training and extension for organisations and practitioners, development of concepts, pedagogies, training manuals, awareness generation tools and media aids, documentation and action research. WOTR has a network of 133 NGOs from 26 district in the state of Mahrashtra and Andhra in India. Over 250,000 people from 810 villages are benefited from the different developmental initiatives taken by WOTR.
