| Description | To support social movements and networks in Latin America whose work for systemic change represents voices of impacted communities challenging concentrated economic and political power and creating alternatives. Areas of focus include:
• Promoting human rights—political and civil, as well as economic, social and cultural rights as recognized in international agreements
• Resisting economic exploitation and injustice (including corporate-led globalization, illegitimate foreign debt, privatization of services and natural resources) and promoting alternatives (such as fair trade initiatives, food security, debt audits) |
