| Description | Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust (JRCT) funds primarily in the UK, Ireland and South Africa, but will also consider applications from groups based in the EU and working at a European level. Trustees are particularly concerned about large corporations whose business practice, or that of their suppliers, violates international human rights law or which creates direct and severe suffering for individuals or communities. Trustees are interested in funding groups that seek to promote more responsible business practices, either through monitoring the activities of specific corporations or through contributing towards the development of effective regulatory frameworks for business. The Trust's policy guidelines are currently under review. |
